UP42 is changing the way geospatial data is accessed and analyzed. The developer platform and marketplace bring together multiple sources of data such as satellite imagery, weather data, and more—with algorithms to identify objects, detect change, and find patterns. Industry leaders use UP42 to inform business decisions and build scalable customer solutions.

We are looking forward to welcoming our next Leader for the Sales EMEA Team (all genders) to support UP42’s ambitious acceleration plans for the next few years. Being the visionary Team Driver for our Berlin-based 5 people-strong Sales group, the new Lead will supervise teams around all revenue-driving functions, e.g. commercial sales and sales operations. While UP42 is a global organization that practices a flexible and healthy mix of remote work with working from our office next to the canal in Berlin Kreuzberg, the ideal candidate is eager to connect with our German teams on a regular basis.

Main challenges and responsibilities of our new Leader for Sales EMEA will be:

  • Be a driving force as a player/coach within the EMEA commercial sales team to hit and exceed regional targets

  • Continuously support and drive sales activities with a focus on growth, revenue, and operations improvement

  • Be a sparrings partner for our Sales Team: Provide guidance and support on legal and regulatory elements

  • Develop an in-depth knowledge (value proposition) of UP42’s solutions and utilize this knowledge to successfully lead Sales support operations from Marketing and opportunity closure

  • Participate in commercial contract activities: Review, advise and negotiate legal agreements with our clients, partners and suppliers in close cooperation with our Sales representatives

  • Partner with the VP of Sales to create and maintain an unforgettable Sales culture, focused

    on delivering results by providing ongoing coaching and development of Sales team

    members in the use of HubSpot, Win-loss analysis and pricing

  • Act as a sparring partner between the Sales Team and other internal support team

    members Product, PreSales, Engineering, Marketing, etc.) in order to ensure sales cycle

    efficiency and consistent process methodology

  • Remain knowledgeable of industry trends and competition

  • Prepare and present periodic sales reports to the Exec Team to provide information useful in

    taking key business decisions

  • Multiple years of related experience

  • With a background in a player/coach role within rapidly growing technology companies, you

    have gained multiple years of sales leadership experience

  • By understanding sales foundations, operations, and process improvement from scratch,

    you’ve already contributed to the revenue growth for enterprises or SaaS/DaaS

    environments, preferably within the remote sensing or GIS industry

  • Your strongest muscle is your ability to source, sell, co-sell, and close large deals as

    well as being familiar with concepts like carrying quota and closing

  • You can demonstrate success in acting as a bridge between the company and its

    current market and future markets - with a strong understanding of the EMEA remote sensing market
