Pre-Sales Engineer - North America (m/f/x)

We are looking for a Pre-Sales Engineer - North America (m/f/x) to join the UP42 team remotely that will support the North America sales team. This position will be held through the Airbus Defense and Space North American entity but will be 100% in support of UP42. 


  About the role: 

  • Deliver presentations and product demonstrations that highlight the technical capabilities of the UP42 platform. 

  • Being a trusted advisor to technical and management staff of the customers and providing technical solutions to their business requirements. 

  • Help provide technical support to tenders, RFI’s, RFP’s, proposals when necessary. 

  • Work and build strong relationships with internal cross-functional teams including Customer Support, Product teams, Business Development to act as the voice of the customer

  • Contribute to our OKRs and KPIs and bring new initiatives and ideas how to better engage with our customers and prospects

Job requirements

About you:

  • Tech-savvy professional, able to explain technical details and requirements to both a technical and non-technical audience

  • Several years of experience in remote sensing or GIS in a customer-facing role

  • Experience using GIS tools (i.e. ArcGIS, QGIS, Google Earth Engine, etc)

  • Studies in GIS, Remote Sensing, Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of technical education and work experience

  • Hands-on application or script development experience in Python (Java & Javascript nice to have)

  • Experience integrating with cloud platforms via REST API’s

  • Experience working with satellite remote sensing data

  • You have excellent written / verbal communication skills
