UP42 was founded in 2019 with a clear purpose: to provide quick and easy access to geospatial data and analytics. The developer-first platform grants access to the world’s leading providers of optical, radar, elevation, and aerial data, all in one place, and offers flexible APIs and a Python SDK to help build and scale solutions. Users can search the catalog for existing imagery, or task a satellite to capture a desired area. Whatever the use case, UP42 is the one-stop-shop for all geospatial data needs.
We are looking for a Key Account Manager - Berlin (m/f/x) to join the UP42 team and take on the responsibility of nurturing long-term relationships with our most strategic clients, ensuring they maximize the value of our platform.
Here is a summary of what you could contribute to:
You will develop and maintain strong, trusted relationships with key clients, serving as their main point of contact to understand their business needs and goals.
By collaborating with sales and product teams to align customer needs with UP42's offerings, you will proactively identify opportunities for account expansion and revenue growth through upselling and cross-selling.
You will lead strategic account planning processes for key clients, including setting account goals, developing growth plans, and managing action plans to achieve client satisfaction and drive business growth.
As a product expert for clients, you will offer guidance on how to effectively utilize UP42’s geospatial platform to achieve their business objectives.
You will work closely with internal teams, including Product, Marketing, and Customer Success, to ensure seamless project delivery and support for clients.
You will keep up with industry trends and market developments, providing insights to clients and internal stakeholders regarding opportunities and challenges in the geospatial data space.
You will track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for assigned accounts, providing regular status updates and business reviews to clients and UP42 leadership.
Job requirements

You bring in extensive expertise in building and managing strategic client relationships in the earth observation industry, along with a strong understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities.
You have a deep understanding of geospatial data and applications, as well as experience working with SaaS platforms.
You possess strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
You are skilled at collaborating with diverse teams across different functions to provide effective solutions for clients.
You possess an analytical mindset, enabling you to interpret data and extract actionable insights for clients.
You are open to traveling as needed to meet with key clients and participate in industry events.
And last but not least: You’re fully business-fluent in English.
