Job description
UP42 was founded in 2019 with a clear purpose: to provide quick and easy access to geospatial data and analytics. The developer-first platform grants access to the world's leading providers of optical, radar, elevation, and aerial data, all in one place, and offers flexible APIs and a Python SDK to help build and scale solutions. Users can search the catalog for existing imagery, or task a satellite to capture a desired area. Whatever the use case, UP42 is the one-stop-shop for all geospatial data needs. Late 2024, UP42 is being acquired by the Neo Space Group.
We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer (m/f/x) to join our motivated SRE team in Berlin to help scale and maintain our cloud infrastructure while ensuring the reliability and performance of our geospatial processing platform.
What you will do:
Design and implement scalable, reliable infrastructure solutions using cloud-native technologies.
Lead and contribute to the development of our infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform and other modern IaC tools.
Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters and workloads in Google Cloud Platform.
Implement and enhance observability solutions across our platform using tools like Prometheus and other monitoring systems.
Drive improvements in system reliability through automation, monitoring, and incident response.
Collaborate with development teams to establish and maintain SLOs/SLIs.
Participate in the on-call rotation (office hours only) and lead incident response efforts.
Mentor other team members and contribute to establishing best practices for infrastructure and reliability.
